Epic eFoils is the newest electric hydrofoil company to hit Northwest Florida. We are focused on giving you the best experience on some of the most beautiful beaches in the U.S. Our instructors work to give you the ultimate eFoil experience while teaching safety and proper technique. We have partnered with the Boathouse at Watercolor to have a home base, where you can learn on safe and controlled conditions. Conveniently located on Western Lake in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, we offer beginner lessons to get acquainted with the boards. As you progress and learn, we are able to move onto the Gulf, so that you can ride the board on the open ocean! Book with us to learn to ride the newest water sport in the country!
What is an eFoil?
The term eFoil is short for electric hydrofoil. Essentially, its a short surf board with a hydrofoil wing and a lithium ion battery to power it. The hydrofoil wing allows the board to come out of the water and actually glide over waves. The hydrofoil concept was first used by big wave surfers and sail boats so that rough conditions would not impact their ability to be on the water. Now, as the hydrofoil industry continues to change, they have been attached to boards with batteries so that they are fully self-operating. No waves needed.
